1802/0 Draped Bust Half Cent. C-2. Rarity-3. Second Reverse (a.k.a. Reverse of 1802). Fine Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS).,This is a well defined coin for a Draped Bust half cent that saw extensive circulation, both sides retaining bold outline definition to most devices that allows ready appreciation of the overall design. Some of the letters in the denomination HALF CENT are faint, but all are discernible with patience. Overall rough copper brown surfaces exhibit some darker scaling that further explains the PCGS qualifier; a few tiny digs over and around the obverse portrait are also noted for accuracy. Although Cohen-2 is the more readily obtainable of the two known die marriages of the 1802 half cent, the issue as a whole is scarce with examples enjoying strong collector demand at all levels of preservation.,From the Lux Family Collection, begun as early as the 1850s.,
