1793 Liberty Cap Half Cent. Head Left. C-2. Rarity-3. Good-4 (PCGS).,This otherwise deep copper half cent has lighter reddish-brown devices. Wear is commensurate with the assigned grade, although all major design elements are discernible except for the denomination HALF CENT in the center of the reverse. That same area of the coin also exhibits a few shallow pits and associated verdigris; both sides are overall rough in texture with faint scratches throughout. Shallow pits at Libertys nose and the truncation of the neck are also noted, as are a few thin flans flaws in the left obverse field. Given the scarcity and popularity of this one-year design type from the first year of the half cent, this more affordable circulated survivor is sure to find its way into a type set or early copper variety collection.,,
