1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-6a. Rarity-2. Plain Edge, No Pole. Thin Planchet--Overstruck on a Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent--VF-25 (PCGS).,Offered is an appealing mid grade half cent with warm copper brown patina blanketing overall smooth surfaces. The denticulation is largely absent along the lower obverse and upper left reverse borders, although it is broad and bold elsewhere. The devices are sharp for the assigned grade, and there are only a few minor marks on Libertys neck and microscopic roughness that is largely confined to the reverse. Remnants of the undertype are evident at the right obverse border. It is a desirable VF that will be just right for a type collector or early copper enthusiast.
