Engraved and printed by the American Bank Note Co. 42.0cm by 19.5cm including left end stub (folded back). Red-orange frame. Protector 10,000 across. Left, Union Trust Company of New York building. Top center, Mohawk Indian as used on obsolete notes. Cherokee Outlet sale obligation on the back. Extremely rare and unusual. There are few denominations in the series and only a few known. Very vivid and minimally handled. The stub folded back long ago. This likely came from the American Banknote Company bond archives at one time. We believe it was the first sold at auction and realized $5,750 in the 2002 Strasburg Sale. Bold, very vibrant, historic and extremely rare.From the John E.
