Extremely Fine.A second Specimen certificate for a bond scrip used in London to purchase United States 4% Consols from Rothschild. Style as the $500. Uniface on bond paper by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co.. Vertical landscape 24.5cm by 39.5cm. Reddish-brown frame, with titles on the side, and back medallion on one panel. Typeset with three payments due to complete and receive a U.S. $500 loan. Imprinted One Penny Revenue stamp upper left. There were 4000 certificates authorized as enumerated at the top of the Specimen. Minimal handling. Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Specimen bonds and share certificates are rare, especially so when compared to United States imprints. Perhaps another unique certificate and of a desirable high denomination.From the John E.
