Do not let the fact that we have two of these parish notes in the same sale skew your perception of rarity. This is a very scarce Parish. A large green TEN protector below the decorative title dominates this note. Obligation across and noting "...Parish Taxes of the Year 1862." Cartouches at left and right ends hold the redemption information. We have not sold an example of this type but we are pretty sure these will be heavily received by the states bevy of advanced collectors.
