T-7. Confederate Currency. 1861 $100. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.PF-4. No. 5522. Plate C. A scarce early Hoyer & Ludwig printed $100. The paper is quite crisp and the lithographed inks are boldly presented. Bold penned details and what looks to be original paper when looking through the holder leave us curious as to why PMG did not apply an "EPQ" designation. The circulation is extremely subtle and we would find it hard to argue had the note been certified in the About Uncirculated range. PMG has graded only four notes for this type in the Uncirculated range leaving attractive circulated notes like this the collecting norm. From the Wealth of the South Collection.
