The layout and style as the $50 and created from the re-engraved plate initially used for the First Liberty Loan Converted long coupon bonds, except with plate changes and color altered. 20.5cm by 17.5cm (excluding coupons at side). Large red sunburst undertint emanates from eternal flame vignette at bottom; across center deeper red THIRD LIBERTY/LOAN title. Red coupons. Jefferson top center, flanked by red $50 dies. Blue spoked Treasury seal. Orange back with closed wing eagle in oval. Embossed seal. Coupons 17-21 remain with the bond. A bold example and vibrant. Normal bond folds on back panels. There is likely fewer than a dozen known and the quality here is excellent. A slightly superior example realized over $5,000 in the 2015 FUN auction.
