Fine.A registered bond, named on the front, from this series and accruing interest from its printed date within the obligation on the face. The style is similar to short-coupon types. Printed at the BEP. 16.0cm by 22.5cm. Brown FOURTH LIBERTY /LOAN title and Treasury seal. Jefferson top center, flanked by $50 dies. Space for issue between title and the obligation across the center. Brown transfer back with adjacent panel with titles only. Embossed seal. No. 211403. Fully issued and the back with multiple transfers, much in messy pen, Bank of America stamp in 1934 near bottom. Faces up well despite the transfer "mayhem" which illustrates the complexity of transferring such bonds. Fairly rare and not often offered.From the John E. Herzog Collection.
