1806 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-116, T-20. Rarity-3. Pointed 6, Stem Through Claw. VF-35 (PCGS).,A patina of deep burgundy-brown shades paints each side, accented by the faintest greenish iridescence on the reverse. There are just a few scattered marks apparent under scrutiny, and all are well hidden beneath the toning. The weakness at Libertys portrait is typical for the variety and should not be mistaken for wear. Each side shows well developed cracks that are just short of terminal, with cracks now extending across the tops of LIBERTY and ST of STATES. Overall bold and worthy of close study.,From the Sutton Court Collection of Early Half Dollar Varieties.,
