1806 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-106, T-4. Rarity-4. Knobbed 6, Small Stars. VF-30 (NGC).,The pearlescent silver complexion of this Small Stars Reverse example is accented by the faintest shades of lilac and apricot throughout. The eye appeal is pleasant for the assigned grade, bolstered by considerable blooms of mint luster remaining in the protected regions. An area of weakness at the upper right reverse is typical for the variety, and the balance of devices are sharply rendered. LIBERTY and the obverse stars are linked by a network of thin cracks, though the retained cud above BERT has not yet formed. An overall attractive coin available for the first time since 1985.,From the Sutton Court Collection of Early Half Dollar Varieties. Acquired privately from Jonathan K. Kern, February 1985.,
