1807 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-104, T-9. Rarity-5-. VF-25 (NGC).，A handsome and flashy example of this Rarity-5- variety with brilliant surfaces and the faintest violet coloration at the borders. Significant mint luster remains in the fields, imparting a reflective and prooflike complexion that contrasts the more frosty devices. The strike is just slightly off-center to the right obverse, though the impression itself is sharp in most areas. Libertys portrait shows a weakness that is common for the variety and this should not be mistaken for friction. A small mark is noted in the field above the arrowheads, though there are otherwise no notable abrasions. This is an attractive specimen with technical qualities exceeding the assigned grade.，From the Sutton Court Collection of Early Half Dollar Varieties.
