1807 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-102, T-8. Rarity-2. VF-25 (NGC).,This specimen is largely brilliant save for a faint golden iridescence that blankets both sides. The obverse features scattered traces of planchet inconsistency that is most apparent around the date and Libertys drapery. An area of weakness at Libertys hair is typical for the variety and the balance of devices are left bold and unaffected. This piece shows a considerably earlier die state than the previous lot, displaying only minor clash marks and lacking the crack at the I of LIBERTY.,From the Sutton Court Collection of Early Half Dollar Varieties. Acquired privately from Bertram Cohen at Great American Coin Company, December 1985.,
