By no means the prettiest specimen or even the rarest when held against its peers. This note still represents a major rarity as one of a small handful of Replacements known for the Speelman - White signature combination that was used through the early 1920s until the Series of 1923 was introduced. Track & Price records roughly a dozen Replacements for this Friedberg Number with a scattering of auction offerings going back over recent years and decades. Far rarer than one would expect; this figure pales in comparison to the roughly three thousand or so non-Replacement survivors recorded overall by both databases for this particular signature combination that is seemingly a mainstay of this iconic design. This is without any hint of doubt a rare opportunity for the collector who specializes in large size Replacements. From the Hararn Family Collection.
