1838 Modified Matron Head Cent. N-4. Rarity-2. MS-65 BN (PCGS). A glossy example with satiny, tight surfaces that are as nice was would be expected for the assigned grade. Dominant medium brown patina is seen on both sides, and the reverse has considerable golden-olive around the periphery representing where original mint color was last to fade. Sharply defined over the focal features with outstanding eye appeal that will appeal to both high grade type collectors and large cent enthusiasts. Noyes Die State C/B.
