1848 Braided Hair Cent. N-10. Rarity-3. MS-66 RB (NGC). This splendid Gem boasts dominant red-orange luster on the reverse with only minimal lilac-brown patina scattered about, the obverse is more brown in tone. The coin is well struck for an 1840s large cent, the centers sharp and even the peripheries and borders displaying considerable boldness of detail. With no detracting blemishes, the desirability of this piece for high grade type, date or variety purposes is assured.
