1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-50. Rarity-5. Head of 1794. VF Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS). Sharply defined overall with fully denticulated borders, this coin presents exceptionally well for the assigned grade. All of our offerings for this scarce Sheldon number in recent years have been for coins with problems of one sort or another, and this piece is also superior in this regard. Sandy-brown surfaces are lightly pitted and a bit rough overall to explain the PCGS qualifier, but there are no sizeable marks, and the in hand appearance is actually quite smooth despite the impairment. A coin with much to offer the early large cent variety enthusiast willing to take a close look.
