Selection of miscellaneous correspondence with various numismatists and other items:Mostly circa 1979 to 2000, and letters from Bowers and Ruddy, Bowers and Merena, Stack’s, Don Partrick, Harry and Doris Bass and a few others. Content is mostly niceties and minor business matters, but the file gives a small insight into various interactions with the Pogue family. Approximately 30 letters, along with photocopies of some of the original 1804 dollar and 1822 half eagle correspondence. Also included is a binder with numerous color enlargements of important coins from the Pogue collection. Approximately 25 coins are represented including the 1841 <em>Little Princess</em>, the 1815 half eagle, the Child’s 1804 dollar and the 1854-S half eagle. Other curiosities include a pair of blank planchets for cents, an 1859 $3 gold piece worn nearly smooth that was once in jewelry, a 1954-S Carver Washington half dollar in Mint State, and an 1840 $500 Bond form on the Republic of Texas, with 10 original coupons, graded Fine.From the D.
