Original presentation case for a set of five 1915 Panama-Pacific Commemorative Coins. Very Fine. The usual glossy black paper cover with gilt ruling around the top cover. Plush purple insert to hold the coins, the lid lined in purple satin, boldly lettered in gilt. The original descriptive insert is also included. The latch does not function, but the case is nicely preserved otherwise. Also included is the original cream-colored cardboard outer box, lettered in gilt. This is rarely seen as the boxes were fragile and often discarded. The cover is split at two corner joints, but the box is basically intact otherwise. Also included are two commemorative brochures from the exposition. One is “Compliments of the Remington Typewriter Company” and in color. Very Good, but chipped at the edges. The other is “A Pictorial Review of the Exposition’s Progress to March 15, 1913.” The front cover is separated, but the interior is Very Fine. (Total: 1 case, 1 outer box; 2 brochures)From the D. Brent Pogue Library.
