"FIVE" in cartouche at both left and right. Vivid red ink surrounds this note. The bank was organized in 1829 and it survived until becoming the Wyoming National Bank of Wilkes-Barre, charter #732. The Newman note was an average-looking PCGS Apparent About New 50 and it still topped $600. We sold this same note for $2,232.50 in our 2013 March Baltimore sale. One of only a couple known.
