The bank was authorized in 1812 and eventually organized a dozen locations, ultimately meeting its destiny with failure before the close of the Civil War. The only examples we have sold were the $6-$9 denomination notes which are crushingly rare. This is an extremely elusive $20 Proof to locate at any grade level, but in this lofty state of preservation it is a real treat.
