Westminster, Maryland. Farmers and Mechanics Bank. 18xx. $1 Printing Plate.(MD-310 G2) Danforth, Bald & Co. Phila., New York. Gorgeous original copper printing plate from this bank which became the Farmers and Mechanics National Bank, charter #1526. Both $1s. Female in portrait at lower right. Anvil with a mans hand on hammer at left. Center, horse and men carrying bails of hay or wheat. The plate displays great patina and sharp engraved details.
