They ran a flour mill in this southern Illinois town for at least a couple of decades. Vignette of a building at center (presumably their flour mill) with a green 10 protector below. J. & W. Brickey seen in right cartouche. Change Check seen in left cartouche. Issued Under the Law of Necessity in an arc across the top. The obligation clause states this was payable on demand in U.S. Treasury Notes. PCGS notes Small edge splits and tears. Only a couple examples are known, both of which were part of the Newman collection. This rare piece has sold for an average of around $1,000 each time.
