Easton, Pennsylvania. Farmers & Mechanics Bank. March 1, 1863. $10. Very Fine.(PA-120 G12a SENC) NBNC. Green border prints. Farmer with scythe at left. Blacksmith working at right. Ornate die counter 10s top left and right of center. Green security bar above signature panel. A very rare type from this collecting hot bed. Haxby had not seen this $10 type and had speculated that it would be tinted orange. The green tints on this example are bold along with the penned officers signatures. A few minor stains on the right end, otherwise quite attractive.
