Signed by Keller at bottom right. An incredibly rare piece of Louisiana Civil War period scrip with an excellent location name. We have been unable to track any auction appearances for this issuer in at least the last 15 years if ever. We also have been unable to find any sure records of Keller or the town of Alligator. We can assume the stories of both have been covered up by the sands of time (or the black water of the bayou). PMG comments Small Tears on the back of the holder.
