MS-62 (NGC).,A gorgeous medal by Hermon MacNeil, who later designed the Standing Liberty quarter, both sides exhibiting classic American designs featuring Native Americans and a magnificent bison. This specimen issued to Arthur C. Jackson, who was president of the Alaska Geographical Society and had been appointed the Pan-American Exposition commissioner from the Territory of Alaska. Pearly matte silver surfaces with no defects of note. The rare original fitted green leatherette and purple velour case of issue, stamped PAN AMERICAN EXPOSITION / 1901, is included in this lot.Ex Gorham Company Archives.
