Nearly As Made.,<strong>Obv:</strong> Masonic Compass over a radiant sunface, mounted on an encompassing ring blackened to highlight the golden laurel wreath mounted on it. At the center is an opalescent stone skillfully carved with a face that seems to follow your movements. <strong>Rev:</strong> Outer ring is finely engraved in flowing script and block letters PRESENTED TO P.M. LOUIS C. TINKER / BY KANE LODGE NO. 55 NEWARK N.J. NOV 28TH 1913. Some parts appear to be gold, and that would be an appropriate parting gift to a retiring Worshipful Master at that time, but there are no marks attesting to composition or fineness.
