1816 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. MS-64+ RB (NGC). CAC.;This hard satin 1816 cent has considerable mint luster shining forth from the protected areas around and among the obverse devices. The reverse is evenly toned in a blend of warm antique gold and olive-brown. The strike is good throughout with most design elements bold, if not sharp. There are scattered obverse spots that include prominent ones at Libertys chin and hair bun. Likely from the Randall Hoard dispersed circa 1869 to 1879, and ideal for inclusion in a high grade type set or specialized large cent collection. Noyes Die State B/B.;From Heritages sale of the Rev.
