1824 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-2. AU-58 (PCGS).;Generous mint luster remains throughout the fields with obvious cartwheels when the coin is turned in the light. Light steel and olive with undertones of rosy-tan. A bit of light wear on the reliefs but no serious imperfections. A couple of small toning spots are useful for identification, but without close study even these mostly blend into the palette. The later states of the dies as described by Noyes, but they advanced even further before the dies were taken out of use.
