1804 Draped Bust Cent. S-266, the only known dies. Rarity-2. EF Details--Smoothed (PCGS).;This is a remarkably attractive coin relative to the stated qualifier. Ample boldness of strike remains, Libertys portrait actually quite sharp with crisp delineation between most of the individual hair tresses. The strike is well centered, the reverse rotated a few degrees counterclockwise from normal coin orientation. Remarkably smooth in hand, although enhanced in this regard to explain the PCGS qualifier, this is still an aesthetically pleasing coin with warm, even, rose-brown patina. All in all, a more than respectable circulated example of this ever-popular key date issue in the Draped Bust cent series. Noyes Die State C.;
