1804 Draped Bust Cent. S-266, the only known dies. Rarity-2. VF-25 BN (NGC).;A handsome piece, both sides are richly toned in copper-rose patina with predominantly bold definition to both sides. Mentionable softness of detail is confined to the upper left reverse border, where some of the letters in the words UNITED and STATES are faint, yet still discernible. Surfaces are hard and tight with only small, wispy abrasions scattered about, none of which are unusual given the assigned grade. All in all, a thoroughly appealing mid grade survivor of this fabled key date issue in the early large cent series.;
