1851 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-60 (PCGS).;Satiny medium gold surfaces support tinges of reddish-rose iridescence on the obverse. This is a well struck 1850s half eagle; the detail is generally sharp with emerging definition to the central high points. Rarer than a mintage of 377,505 pieces might imply, the 1851 is scarce even in EF and AU grades. Mint State survivors are elusive, and this is one of the finest examples of the issue that we have handled in quite some time.;
