1855 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-61 (PCGS).；The 1855 half eagle is a significant condition rarity and is underrated even in circulated grades. Satiny with vivid rose-gold patina, the offered coin offers bold to sharp striking detail over most elements of the design. A few faint, well scattered alloy spots are noted. This is a premium quality coin worthy of a strong bid. Although widely regarded as one of the more common Liberty half eagles from the 1850s, the 1855 (117,098 pieces produced) is actually much scarcer in an absolute sense than 1852 and 1853. In Mint State the 1855 is rare, and the present example numbers among the finest certified survivors.；
