A better signature combination and one seen sparingly to its counterparts from the late 1910s and 1920s. The Lyons - Treat signature combination was current from only 1905 to 1906 and represents the second rarest combination to be used on this design behind the Napier - Thompson signature combination that was current for only 111 days between 1912 and 1913. Little in the way of a logical leap is also needed to understand that Gem Uncirculated examples of this Friedberg Number are a rare sight. PMG records just a handful while few could hope to match this example in terms of quality and eye appeal. Distinct and uncommon embossing is evident on the verso and exemplified by the uncommon impression of the Treasury overprint. If it werent for the engraved portions of the back design, one could read the entire serial number just by viewing the back design. Let these qualities underscore the nature of this specimen which represents an uncommonly quality foreign to most of this notes surviving peers. Noted for "Exceptional Paper Quality & Embossing" by PMG.From the Hararn Family Collection.
