PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. 齿边，底下有铭文。广受追捧、经久不衰的版别。正面为徐世昌像，反面刻画中南海怀仁堂。呈微乎其微的清洗痕迹，高铸处有磨损。仍十分赏心悦目，无比诱人，亦甚 罕见 ，币面炮铜色包浆伴有不俗的琥珀色。 此版深受欢迎，被认为是样币，但于本质上来説应是奖章，为纪念北京协和医院开幕所铸。原铸版凉亭底下留空，方便刻上受章者名字，因在首批初试雕刻姓名难度过高，其后版别改为""纪念币""三字。 L&M-864; K-676; WS-0101; Chang-CH234. Variety with reeded edge and with legend at bottom of reverse. Emanating from a popular and highly sought-after type, this example, featuring the bust of Hsu Shih-chang and the facade of the Peking Union Medical College (from which the type garners the name "pavilion") , displays some very subtle cleaning and wear across the highest points. Nevertheless, it remains extremely appealing and enticing, as well as rather RARE , with some great amber hues highlighting the gunmetal gray nature of the surfaces. An incredibly popular and desirable type believed to have been a pattern issue, it now appears that these were, in fact, more medallic in nature, and meant to be given out upon the opening of the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), the facade of which is displayed upon the reverse. Initially designed with a blank field below the pavilion for the intended recipient s name to be engraved, the reverse was altered slightly to contain the characters "紀念幣" between two rosettes, as the engraving proved difficult on the initial batch.
