PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details.齿边，底部有铭文。略见轻微清洗及磨损，但整体颇为悦目。需要雄厚资金才能将其纳入藏中。藏家梦寐以求的上好品相。此枚曾被以为是样币，实际上是纪念章，原定于北京协和医学堂开幕时赠出，反面的凉亭下为北京协和医学堂建筑。凉亭下的空白处本欲雕刻受赠人姓名，但后来因制作困难而改为两花之间有纪念币三字。(t)This lot was manufactured in China (including Hong Kong), Russia or Republic of Belarus and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after tariffs were enacted by the United States. Though some minor cleaning and subtle wear are noted, this example nevertheless remains an exceptionally pleasing representative from a series that has quickly become rather difficult to obtain without significant financial investment. As such, a wondrous opportunity for the collector long seeking a pleasing exemplar.<p><em>An incredibly popular and desirable type believed to have been a pattern issue, it now appears that these were, in fact, more medallic in nature, and meant to be given out upon the opening of the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), the facade of which is displayed upon the reverse. Initially designed with a blank field below the pavilion for the intended recipients name to be engraved, the reverse was altered slightly to contain the characters 紀念幣 between two rosettes, as the engraving proved difficult on the initial batch.</em>
