1843-O Liberty Seated Dime. Fortin-101, the only known dies. Rarity-4-. VF-35 (PCGS). Ringed in partial halos of reddish-russet and steel-blue peripheral toning, this otherwise silver-gray example retains uniformly bold detail throughout the design. The 1843-O is a key date Liberty Seated dime issue from the New Orleans Mint, survivors from the 150,000-piece mintage scarce in an absolute sense, and particularly so in grades of VF and higher.
