1793/2 Washington Ship Halfpenny. Musante GW-20, Baker-18, W-10855. Copper. Lettered Edge. AU-55 (PCGS). Deep chocolate-brown with a trace of soft rose-brown in the protected areas. Evenly circulated and not heavily marked. Reverse from an early die state with just slight swelling and no signs of the moderately heavy die clash that occurs later on, and fairly scarce in this state. An above average example and commendable for the type considering the rarity of mint state specimens.
