1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-1. Rarity-2. Lettered Edge, With Pole. VF-25 (PCGS). Really a lovely example of both the type and variety at the VF grade level, both sides are originally toned in dominant golden-brown. Blushes of deeper steely-copper in the right obverse field are associated with ancient surface scale, although both sides are pleasingly smooth in hand and, apart from a dull nick on Libertys neck, are free of notable marks. Boldly defined overall from a well centered strike, it is difficult for us to imagine a more appealing Liberty Cap half cent at the assigned grade level. Manley Die State 1.0.
