T-24. Confederate Currency. 1861 $10. PMG Extremely Fine 40 EPQ.No. 54719. Plate K. PF-11. Confederate Secretary of State R.M.T. Hunter portrait at left. An exceptional 1861 $10 bearing the imprint of Richmond, Virginia based printers Keatinge & Ball. A fully framed note that has some of the widest all-around margins we have seen on any T-24 Confederate note. The black printed design elements are boldly inked while the orange tints retain much of their original brilliance. In our ANA sale, we sold a PCGS EF 45 for $840. That note had much darker paper and much small margins than this luxurious piece.
