T-22. Confederate Currency. 1861 $10. PCGS Currency Very Fine 30.No.11952, Plate A. A wonderful mid-grade example of this ever popular Southern Bank Note Company produced $10 type. Thetis is found at left holding the scepter of Neptune. A Native American family is seen at center overlooking a town. A woman stands at right holding an ear of corn and a large X. This example displays bright orange protector tints that are free of the oxidation that commonly plagues this series of notes. The paper remains bright and wholesome while displaying only moderate circulation. Three ample margins are found with just the bottom edge being cut a tough into the design. This is a note with tons of aesthetic appeal.
