Lebanon, New Hampshire. $20 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1802-1. The NB. Charter #808. PMG Very Fine 25.Like most National banks on New Hampshire this was the lone note issuing institution in the town. Just over 20 small-size notes are known for this Grafton County charter. This piece offers pleasing centering and just a minor erasure, noted by PMG on the back of the holder.emThe Bankers Magazine and Statistical Register,/em March 1865, included this: "Lebanon.-The National Bank of Lebanon, Grafton County, N.H., (No. 808) was organized in February, and takes the place of the late Lebanon Bank, with a present capital of $100,000, (as before) limited to $200,000. President, Robert Kimball; Cashier, James H. Kendrick; both of whom have been connected with the old bank for several years, with marked success."ppThe bank continued its success and issued notes into the small-size era 1929 and later. Today, notes on this bank are popular and widely collected, although some such as the one offered here are on the scarce side.pp
