Broad margins and vibrant red overprints are found on this Very Choice note. Low serial number 3 is seen in blue printed inks below the portrait of Benjamin Harrison at left. Original overprint embossing is clearly evident on the verso. pThe Middletown National Bank was organized in May 1865 and issued nearly $10 million face value in National Currency notes through the end of the note issuing era in 1935.
