Undated (ca. 1834) Franklin and Lafayette Mule. Copper. 26 mm. Musante GW-145, Baker-203. MS-64 RB (PCGS).,Plenty of vivid pinkish-orange luster remains on both sides of this gorgeous near-Gem, the surfaces also revealing pretty lilac-blue undertones to dominant golden-copper patina. A couple of faint carbon spots are noted for the obverse, otherwise the surfaces are nearly pristine and suggestive of an even higher numeric grade. This type is a scarce muling of an obverse design by James Bale and a reverse design by Charles Cushing Wright and Bale.,Collector tag with attribution notation included.,
