1860 Abraham Lincoln. DeWitt-AL 1860-3. White metal. 41.4 mm. Unc Details—Obverse Damage (NGC).,Attractive Mint State quality but with abrasions on Lincoln’s truncation and in the left obverse field. Medium gray with pleasing overtones of gold and pale blue in the fields, which are pleasingly reflective. Another of the restrike issues, likely of the 1860s, this being on a significantly thinner flan than the copper example offered above. Not in Ford in this composition and offering a nice provenance.,From the Brian Dobbins Collection of American Political Tokens.
