1843-O Liberty Half Eagle. Small Letters. EF-45 (PCGS).；Light honey-gold patina on both sides supports tinges of iridescent orange-russet at the denticles. This is an overall sharply defined example with a very appealing appearance for the assigned grade. The scarcer of the two Guide Book varieties of the 1843-O, the Small Letters is one of the more elusive half eagles from the New Orleans Mint. Particularly rare in AU and Mint State, this lovely Choice EF represents a significant find for the astute bidder.；
