The single finest certified of the type on the PCGS population report, only surpassed by a single example on the NGC census (MS 65). This beautifully preserved, highly attractive and VERY RARE issue exhibits bold sharply struck intricate design features on a nicely produced planchet with good metal quality. The surfaces are smooth displaying a medium gray tone in the fields and atop the devices with a pleasing argent coloration amongst the devices. A slight iridescent sheen becomes apparent when tilting in the light adding a bit of character and sophistication to its pleasing appearance. Though not the finest certified, it ranks amongst the finest in terms of overall quality and preservation that is sure to pique the interest of discerning collectors seeking tough to locate issues. <em>This type invokes loyalty and duty with its symbolism and inscription translated as To rely on the protection of the sovereign in order to reach a high rank.
