1917-S Buffalo Nickel--Uncentered Broadstrike--MS-64 (PCGS). The strike is flush to the right obverse and reverse borders, the planchet expanding to the left in the absence of the collar. The impression is actually quite sharp despite the error, the high points suitably bold and other features more or less full. Lightly toned in champagne-apricot, the otherwise silver-gray surfaces are lustrous, satiny and nicely preserved. Rare as a major Mint error on an early date nickel of the popular Buffalo design type.
