1962 Lincoln Cent--Struck on a Philippines 10 Centavos Planchet--MS-63 (PCGS). The strike is fairly well centered, although the size differential between the dies and planchet means that the peripheral detail is incomplete, especially along the upper obverse border where the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is barely legible. Central high point detail is soft for the same reason, although the date is sharp and the overall Lincoln cent design is appreciable on both sides. Satiny in finish and otherwise brilliant, wisps of iridescent golden-rose patina add further appeal. A scarce and desirable wrong planchet error at an uncommon level of preservation.
