1921 Mercury Dime. MS-64 FB (NGC). A rather deeply toned example featuring shades of olive-brown overlaying each side. A piece that, remarkably, has never been dipped or brightened. Typical for 1921 Philadelphia Mint dimes, most details are well brought up including the center of the reverse resulting in a coveted FB designation, for Full Bands. A key to the series, the 1921 registered the lowest mintage of any Philadelphia date of this design.
